It’s easy to license fonts from the UnitType library. Our standard use case licences fit most projects, with optional extensions for logos, broadcast, or high-reach social media. Need total flexibility? The Unlimited Licence covers all uses.

Desktop Licence
Install fonts on your computer for most general design work from print and packaging to digital graphics and organic social media content. Pricing is based on the total number of users.

FAQ

What options are there to purchase a font licence?
You can purchase fonts on this website with secure payment processed via Shopify. If you would prefer to pay by invoice and bank transfer, email us and we’ll set it up.
Who should purchase the font licence?
The main user of the fonts should purchase the licence. If you’re using them for your own work, simply buy the licence that fits your needs. If you’re using them for client work and they also need to use the fonts, you’ll need to consider a licence with higher usage, and possibly additional Web or App Font Licences. If you are purchasing on behalf of a client you can enter their details during checkout.
What formats are fonts supplied in?
For Desktop and App Licenses, we provide .OTF files. For Web Font Licenses, we provide .WOFF2 files. Variable Fonts are supplied as .TTF for Desktop and App, and .WOFF2 for Web. Other formats are available on request.
Are there discounts for students & charities?
We offer 50% off retail fonts for charities, non-profits, student projects, and community initiatives. Contact us to request a discount code.
Can I upgrade a licence to a higher tier?
If your usage has grown, get in touch and we’ll advise on the best options. That might involve a small cost to re-licence at a higher tier, or moving to a tailored Unlimited Licence.
How can I retrieve a previous order or invoice?
If you’ve made a purchase through our website you will have been emailed a link to download your fonts and invoice. If this information is lost, email us and we can re-issue the information.
Can fonts be used for logos and other types of branding?
You’ll need to buy an Extension to the standard Desktop Font Licence to use our fonts in any logos, logotypes, or wordmarks. Contact us to discuss your project.
Are Web Font and App Font Licenses transferrable to other domains or products?
Yes. When purchasing a Web or App Font Licence, we’ll ask you where the font will be used. If you need to transfer it to another project later on, just let us know so we can update your records accordingly.
Can fonts be used on Social Media?
Yes. A Desktop Licence covers organic content (unpaid posts, stories, reels etc.) for accounts with up to 25k followers. For larger accounts or paid content, you’ll need a Licence Extension. Contact us to discuss pricing.
Can I share the fonts with my client?
Yes, up to a point. With a Desktop Font Licence, you can share fonts  with clients, contractors, freelancers or other collaborators outside of your organisation. Each person installing the font becomes a user under your licence, so the tier you purchase must cover this. In most cases where a client will be given font files, it’s recommended they either purchase their own Desktop Font Licence, or, for larger clients or wider-reaching projects, an Unlimited Licence. With a Web or App Font Licence, files can be shared with developers as required.
Can fonts be subset?
Yes. Our fonts include a large number of glyphs, and if you need to strip some out to reduce file size, that’s fine. If you need help with this or want a bespoke export, get in touch.
